Such a great storyline!
I agree with the Juicebox: Diana Gabaldon is one of my absolute favorites, though it's totally not my genre of choice-her books are just magical!!Lifeofkaylenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03470854343779969623noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4476676320224432053.post-68638772557213748472009-11-17T15:08:46.165-04:002009-11-17T15:08:46.165-04:00VMom - I'll do up a favorites list and post it...VMom - I'll do up a favorites list and post it sometime. If you haven't read A Perfect Match by Picoult I would strong recommend it!

As for Gone With The Wind, it's totally Rhett Butler's fault that I can't find happiness with a man in real life (has nothing to do with the fact that I'm argumentative and stubborn). I need to learn to accept that he's a fictious character.

Jacob - I have seen way too many people wait their entire lives to "do" things only to drop dead a week after retiring. No siree bob will that be me, I am going to enjoy every damn cent of my pension before I'm too old to do so.

AJ - I love some good vampire sex too, Charlaine Harris is ALL about the vampire sex.

Amanda - could your living room be more beautiful? That's what my living room would look like - if I didn't have three kids to feed and clothe and suck every ounce of will I have out of my body. You are so living my life if I didn't have kids!!!! I'm a bit green with envy....

You all get that I love my kids, right?Dual Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13219625667306878645noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4476676320224432053.post-35350040949463401292009-11-17T11:47:49.739-04:002009-11-17T11:47:49.739-04:00I'm so proud of my grownup fancy book case. wa...I'm so proud of my grownup fancy book case. wanna see it?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/40519338@N06/3761980743/in/set-72157621738283555/Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08577926410913578120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4476676320224432053.post-28824791768569658772009-11-17T11:30:15.537-04:002009-11-17T11:30:15.537-04:00I don't read a lot of fiction anymore, but I d...I don't read a lot of fiction anymore, but I do still love Stephen King. I also like Diana Gabaldon, and I recently read Charlaine Harris's series that True Blood is based on.Aunt Juiceboxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09312942310632639442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4476676320224432053.post-32289653668705773102009-11-17T10:04:28.151-04:002009-11-17T10:04:28.151-04:00Re: Cashing in your pension at 50,traveling the w...Re: Cashing in your pension at 50,traveling the world till it runs out, and then back to work. Brilliant. The 50-year-old you deserves world travel. The 70- year-old you will likely be too decrepit to enjoy Machu Pichu - might as well put her back to work.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4476676320224432053.post-76600526540545116512009-11-17T10:03:10.530-04:002009-11-17T10:03:10.530-04:00Oh my god - could we have MORE in common? I've...Oh my god - could we have MORE in common? I've been toying with the idea of getting into some of those book blogs as well. Let me know if you find a really good one.

1. I don't know what book has been on my shelf longest since I moved at 18 and didn't take a lot of them with me. Probably Calvin and Hobbes comics that my mom gave me.

2. I am reading In the Sanctuary of Outcasts by Neil White which is really fascinating. It was a prison/leper colony in the United States in the 1990's. Amazing such a place exists, I had no idea.

3.I tried to read Life of Phi too! I didn't even get as far as you did. I've contemplated giving it another try.

4. JD Salinger Catcher in the Rye. But I will eventually. I hope.

5. Thats a strange question.

6. Yeah I don't get that either. Why even read if you are going to look at the end?

7. Gone with the Wind - you have no idea what a GWTW freak I am/was. I haven't read it in a long time because it moved me to the point that I actually became depressed after Rhett left Scarlett. I will read it again at some point. I'm not kidding that I used to have a life size cardboard cutout of Rhett and Scarlett in my room as a teenager.

I also read My Sisters Keeper before JP was everywhere. Or if she was everywhere I didn't read it at the time. That is one my all time favorite books, but I'm not enjoying her stuff as much now as I used to.

We need to share some other good reads!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
